Full many a flower is born to blush unseen,
And waste its sweetness on the desert air.
Those lines are from Thomas Gray's immortal Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard.
The scene in the photo is from my village in Kerala.
I walked that path for years and years,
many years ago...
Let me present a few more shots of the hibiscus buds and flowers I found along that path during my last visit home.

Thanks DMR, Lakshmi, Aram and Kala for your valuable appreciation.
Dawnanddew, beauty can be created just anywhere. The beauty along this path that I have presented was created and sustained by my sis-in-law.

Thanks Bina for that additional info. I have seen people eating rose petals. Now you inform me that hibiscus petals are tasty!
Thanks Shobana for teaching me the correct name of that particular flower.

You are blessed indeed to be a constant visitor of such a lovely place. The flowers assert the presence of goodness in this world and still it is a very safe place to live in and enjoy. Thanks for the anthology of the works of nature!

Matheikal.
I have all those flowers (the same colours) at home. The first one though often called Hibiscus is not one. It's name is Sleepy Mallow. Every time we go to the nursery I pick a new colour. Love them.
