Blood dharma is one's dharma as an individual human being, not as a member of any caste or creed which are human creations.

what is blood darma

  matheikal posted 1 month ago

Scribblingpad,
varna is a creation of man.  blood is a creation of nature.  How can the two be the same?  Man can create any kind of barriers as he likes to suit his own vested interests.

It was a falsehood that Krishna perpetrated on Arjuna and the subsequent generations of believers that the varna-dharma was more important than one's blood-dharma.  The Buddha sought to correct that falsehood.  (P 111)
pl expalin...i thot, varna dharma and blood darma were same

Dear Matheikal,
Regards.
Glad to get your quick and sincere reply.
So does my nagging doubt that the thoroughness of practicing an ideology is limitted by the extend and depth of the innate character of the "propagators", proved here also?. Unless a very unusual situation so far in the history of mankind, a motivated self purification process, is set in the conscience of every [wo]man, the findings of the GREAT will create some local temporary positive effects only. It has been lke that. There is no reason to believe that the "back to NORMAL[!]" tendency will vanish.
Is it what our people call "MAYA"? I don't know much about it.

It's not a very easy question to answer, Raghnathan ji.  One of the reasons is that the followers wanted to codify the teachings into neat systems (theological or philosophical or ethical or whatever).  Another is the usual human craze for power and hierarchical order.  There are also political and social factors that play their roles.  For example, the role played by emperor Constantine in Christianity and Ashoka in Buddhism. I'm sure there are other factors too that I am not fully aware of.

Dear Matheikal,
Regards.
An able introduction to a good book worth reading.
I agree with you and the author of the novel that most of the followers knowingly and unknowingly kill the ORIGINAL thoughts and findings.
It happened almost in all cases that we know. But why? Is it a universal rule?
It happened to Vedas, preachings of Christ, Mohammed.............even to the Malayali Guru Sree Narayana. Why?
What is your idea about this phenomenon[!].

Very right, Naval ji.  Even today the Buddha is not understood rightly, unfortunately.

Indu and Shail, wish you happy reading.

To Mr. matheikal

Gautam Bhddha was two thousand five hundred years  ahead of his time. Now, especially in west, some genuine interest is shown in the teaching of Bhagawan Buddha.
